這一具有開創性的首發單曲《Up In The Air》在地球上空230英里開始了它的使命。美國宇航局將30 SECONDS TO MARS\30秒上火星樂隊新專輯《LOVE LUST FAITH+ DREAMS》的第一單曲《Up In The Air》發射進入了太空。同時30 SECONDS TO MARS還將在休斯敦任務控制中心進行實時監測，並將與空間站的一名宇航員Tom Marshburn於歌迷進行問答環節，歌迷還可將在網路上看到這一實況。

30 SECONDS TO MARS樂隊新專輯《LOVE LUST FAITH+ DREAMS》由Jared Leto與先前的合作人Steve Lillywhite(U2, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel)共同製作，專輯的製作遍及世界各地，從歐洲到印度再到樂隊在加利福尼亞的工作室。Jared説到：“這是一個全新的開始帶領我們進入了一個意想不到的全新的領域。”
