國名詞語解釋

國名，即國家的名稱（包含主權國家和地區的名稱）。

國名當代政體

一個國家採取何種政體，與社會各階層在國家政治經濟中的地位有關，也同時受到社會所處的自然環境，歷史傳統，民族構成的制約。同樣是封建制的國家，其政體可能是君主制，也可能是共和制。而不同性質的國家也可能採用相通的政體，例如古希臘是共和制，現代很多資本主義國家也是共和制。而古今的同名政體的具體含義也可能有所不同。
現代國家的政體主要包括君主制和共和制。君主制又可以分為二元君主制和議會君主制；共和制包括總統制、議會制、委員會制和半總統制。以下只是人們通常對政治體制的一些分別：

2、單一民族性的（朝鮮） 或多民族性的（德國）

古代國家名稱
  1. 共和國：古代的不完全民主制國家，或公共事務由公民共同處理的國家，如羅馬共和國。
  2. 帝國：指以皇帝或國王為國家首領且獨掌國家大權，國家首領的繼承為世襲制的國家，也可稱為王國，如法蘭克王國，羅馬帝國。
當代世界國家名稱
1、共和國：指國家代表機關和國家元首由選舉產生。現今世界上有125個共和國，像法蘭西共和國、芬蘭共和國等。
2、王國：指以國王為國家元首的君主立憲制國家。現今全球共有16個王國。
3、公國：是君主立憲制的一種形式。如安道爾公國等。
4、大公國：君主稱號為“大公”，由大公掌握國家權力的國家，如盧森堡大公國等。
5、聯邦：由若干成員組成的統一國家，如瑞士聯邦等。有的國家稱之為“聯盟”，如科摩羅聯盟。
6、合眾國：是聯邦制的一種形式。像美利堅合眾國、墨西哥合眾國等。
7、酋長國：以部落酋長為國家元首的國家。像阿拉伯聯合酋長國等。
8、城國：以教皇為國家元首的國家。如梵蒂岡，世界上也只有這麼一個國家。
9、蘇丹國：一切執行權歸蘇丹的國家。如阿曼蘇丹國等。
10、人民共和國：是社會主義國家。如中國、朝鮮、老撾。
注：古今的國名含義有發生變化，具體以國名所指國家的存在時間區分。

國名中國國名

中國古代所有朝代,都不以中國為國名,又都以中國為通稱。至晚明、清初時期,西方傳教士東來,他們均稱明清兩朝為“中華帝國”,簡稱,即是“中國”。利瑪竇在《利瑪竇中國札記》記載:“這個國家有一個各個時代一直沿用的稱號,他們的人民通常稱呼這個國家為中國(Ciumquo)或中華(Ciumhoa),意思是為‘位於中央之國’。” [1]  [5]

截止2019年，世界上共有195個主權國家（193個聯合國會員國，2個聯合國觀察員國（巴勒斯坦，梵蒂岡），2個準主權國家（庫克羣島，紐埃），科索沃尚未得到多數國家的承認，也未加入聯合國，因此不計。）。
