談及《唐詩》的創作，霍尊表示，早在參加央視“光榮綻放”演唱會的時候就與作者陳添相識，一見如故的兩人，在音樂上也都非常投契，陳添也與霍尊談起自己創作的這首歌曲，霍尊也是他覺得最適合演繹這種風格的歌手，於是兩人很順利的完成了這首作品——《唐詩》，併成為了央視音樂頻道《一次旅行一首歌》中探訪十三朝古都西安的主題曲。 ^[1] 

There was a country far off the sea,on the land of the east.

海外存遠國 雲遙有東土

I heard it when I was young,Mom said it's called Tang.

童稚聞其名 母告吾謂唐

I once dreamed a poet called Li,wrote a poem on my skin.

夢遇詩人李 題詩綴吾臂

But I didn't know how to read it,so I traveled to find him.

莫能誦其語 遂別將其覓

I heard camel bells ring,the vulture fly in the wind.

沙吹響駝鈴 人走見飛鷹

Far far away from hometown,Dad's afraid I was too young.

鄉遠莫能返 父恐吾尚幼

Ah.....the kids read in morning

晨曦朗書童

Ah.....the bell tower rings

古寺鐘聲重

Ah.....I pass the temple

伽藍殿前走

Ah.....the monk smiles to me

僧笑佛前人

They said there was man called Li,he's famous in Dynasty.

僧言有李氏聞名於當世

He do poetry with poets in restaurants,left calligraphy on the ground.

鬥詩青樓內 酒醉吐腹輕

An old sold wine beyond the city,by the road to the moat in the rain.

路遇翁賣酒雨瀝城池新

He said that is named An named Chang,so I believed the poet would be found.

翁言謂長安 遂入觀其景

Ah.....I see great buildings

樓窮現煌宇

Ah.....In them poets drink and sing

騷客共飲歌

Ah.....I pass the palace

大明宮前過

Ah......Flowers bloom around me

袖畔繁花生

Ah.....I see Buddha statue sits

佛坐蓮花落

Ah.....I see the Emperor through the street

帝過千人迎

Ah.....I pass a lantern

人過闌珊處

Ah.....Ii light up the poem on my skin

燈籠照臂詩

I saw a man wear white in the rain,just like the poet in my dream.

微雨見白衣 恰如夢中影

He took wine and read a poem,Just like the lyrics of this song.

把酒笑吟詩 恰如此歌行

《唐詩》在風格上延續了霍尊一直以來的古風韻味，還融入了出人意料的創意，那就是用英文的歌詞來詮釋中國風的旋律，中西元素的碰撞，讓聽眾在驚訝之餘，更多的感覺是驚豔，霍尊也特別喜歡歌曲中體現出來的東方有一個“神秘而偉大”國度的意境，宛如夢迴大唐。 ^[1]
