叛國大陰謀

This was a very inferior remake of "Seven Days in May".

What dooms it from the outset was Jason Robards' characterization of General Lloyd (Scott). It is central to the credibility of the plot that this is a knife fight between an unpopular dovish president whom most of the country fears has endangered America by his disarmament treaty and his charismatic hawkish Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In the original "Seven Days in May" General Scott is a national war hero whom millions of Americans idolize and who, if the election were held today, would win in a landslide. Jimmy Carter vs Douglas MacArthur. For the concept of a military coup to be credible there has to be a national security crisis pitting an unusually weak president against an unusually powerful general.

The original "Seven Days in May" had Burt Lancaster, an actor of enormous magnetism playing General Scott. You can see him as the kind of heroic man on horseback a frightened nation would turn to for salvation. You can see him as the kind of man who could seduce a nation into "Well, why don't we set aside the Constitution just this once. I won't tell if you won't tell."

This film's General Lloyd was simply a snarling fascist utterly devoid of any heroic magnetism whom no one would follow off a sinking ship. It is impossible to imagine him commanding the support of millions of Americans which is what you would have to do if you plan on ruling the country after shooting your way into the White House ^[1]  .

福里斯特·惠特克1961年生德克薩斯，這個高大長着娃娃臉的黑人演員曾經出演了數量眾多的角色，最初他的人生目標其實是想成為一名音樂人。1986年他在影片《野戰排》中出演了角色，1987年他又出演了影片《早安越南》和《緊急盯梢令》。1988年克林特·伊斯特伍德給了福里斯特·惠特克一個機會，讓他在影片《爵士樂手》中飾演了偉大的爵士樂手查利帕克，他因此贏得了戛納電影節最佳男演員獎。隨後他在1989年又出演了影片《黎明前惡煞橫行》，1991年出演了影片"ARageinHarlem"，1992年出演了影片《杏林戰場》和《哭泣遊戲》。1993年他下決心出演了反映城市暴力的電視電影《捆》。1996年他出演了影片《不一樣的本能》，1999年他出演了賈木許導演的影片《鬼狗殺手》，2000年出演了影片《地球戰場》，2001年出演了影片《青龍》。2002年他出演了影片《狙擊電話亭》與《顫慄空間》，這兩部都是相當精彩的驚悚片。2005年出演了影片《瑪麗》。2006年在《末代獨裁》中，惠特克幾近完美的表演為他贏得喝彩一片，征服了美國各大頒獎典禮的評委，併成功登上2007年奧斯卡影帝的寶座，成為奧斯卡歷史上第四位黑人影帝。

21歲時福里斯特·惠特克（ForestWhitaker）出演了銀幕處女作《開放的美國學府》（FastTimesatRidgemontHigh），三年後在第二部影片《奪標27秒》（VisionQuest）他扮演的同樣是一名橄欖球選手。在《南北戰爭》（NorthandSouth）和《金錢本色》（TheColorofMoney）等多部影視劇中積累了豐富的表演經驗後，他與保羅·紐曼（PaulNewman）的對手戲為他爭取到《野戰排》（Platoon）中一個露臉更多的角色，隨後他陸續出演了《緊急盯梢令》（Stakeout）、《早安，越南》（GoodMorning,Vietnam）等影片，在克林特·伊斯特伍德（ClintEastwood）《火鳥重生》（Bird）中扮演的爵士歌手成為他的一大突破，為他贏得戛納電影節大獎和金球的提名。1992年影片《哭泣遊戲》（TheCryingGame）中，雖然福里斯特·惠特克（ForestWhitak福里斯特·惠特克er）只出現了半場，卻給人留下難忘的印象。隨後他在《雲裳風暴》（Prêt-à-Porter）、《異種》（Species）、《煙》（Smoke）、《幽靈狗：忍者之路》（GhostDog:TheWayoftheSamurai）和《地球戰場》（BattlefieldEarth:ASagaoftheYear3000）等影片中扮演了許多性格、身份迥異的角色。

90年代初，福里斯特·惠特克（ForestWhitaker）不滿足於單一的表演事業，開始在製作和導演領域小試牛刀。福里斯特·惠特克（ForestWhitaker）先是參與制作、並出演了暴力黑幫影片《哈林之怒》（ARageinHarlem），接着成功執導了他的導演處女作、95年的《待到夢醒時分》（WaitingtoExhale），併為共事女星惠特尼·休斯敦（WhitneyHouston）演唱的電影主題歌《ShoopShoop》的MV擔任導演。他最近的作品是與凱蒂·霍爾莫斯（KatieHolmes）、邁克爾·基頓（MichaelKeaton）合作出演的浪漫喜劇《第一女兒》（FirstDaughter）。 ^[2]
