劉成林學術成就

劉成林 劉成林
研究方向為模式識別、圖像處理、機器學習及在文字識別中的應用。主要研究成果包括：在手寫字符識別的圖像歸一化、特徵提取、分類器設計、手寫字符串的切分與識別等方面提出一系列有效的方法；研製的文字識別算法在日本的郵政分揀機、表格處理系統等產品中獲得成功的應用，尤其是用於郵政分揀的日文手寫地址識別系統是該領域第一個成功的應用。在國際期刊和國際會議上發表論文90餘篇，其中包括國際期刊（IEEE Trans. on PAMI, Pattern Recognition等）第一作者論文19篇。合著文字識別方面的英文專著一本。

劉成林獲得獎勵

2005年在國際模式識別協會主辦的國際文檔分析與識別會議上獲得IAPR/ICDAR Young Investigator Award （青年科學家獎）。2008年獲得國家傑出青年科學基金。 [5]
